shuffle vs swap

Quick and simple question. I understand what swap means but what happens when you set the later to shuffle on challenge reulsts? Does the lower seeded winner of a challenge move ahead of the loser without moving the loser?

displaying everything in mm/dd/yyyy

The feature to switch from the default d/m/y to m/d/y is great for those of us in backwards civilizations.

However, a very, very minor issue arises, and I thought I'd share my workaround. After choosing m/d/y in the admin panel, the record results screen still displays the current date in dd/mm/yyyy as the default javascript input. Most users do not notice and everything is just dandy. However, some "helpful" people are too smart to notice the parentheses indicating dd/mm/yyyy and insist on switching things around, causing the results to have an incorrect date. I am running v0.8.1. Here's how I fixed it:

Error 500

Hello,

I am pretty new here and tried to install the squash ladder ... serveral times today.
On my Linux server with Apache2 for installation itself everything works very fine. But if i call for http://www.berben.org/ladder/ i get an Error 500. The rights for the files are 604 and the folders have 705. Isn't that ok? Owner and group also seems to be set correctly. Is it possible that I have problems with the rewirte function? I have no idea.

I get lots of errors...

Sorry im pretty new to the php stuff, and i dont get why its displaying these errors. This is the page:

http://mm.nephariusepidemics.com/ladder/

Particularly:
undefined variables and mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource erros

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Is it possible to delete a match from the results

Hi,

I am new to this website, and was testing out the functionality. However, I can't see a way to delete a dummy result I added. Is it possible on the hosted version through the web interface. Failing that, is there mysql access for the ladder admin?

Olly

P.S. Thanks for hosting our ladder!

installation errors -install2.php

Everything seemed to be going great... I get all greens up to #70, then I get:

70: success
you are running Linux...

seeking .htaccess...creating a new .htaccess file

Warning: fopen(/home/jmbluem/html_public/ladder/.htaccess): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/jmbluem/public_html/ladder/html/install/install2.php on line 190

Hosted ladder

Is there any way to edit my hosted ladder beyond the admin controls? I see only the alpha release is available, and assume the hosted beta is better. For example, I would like to be able to edit the email text (it refrences squash rules from 2001 for example..) and be able to edit the database to erase matches if the need be. Thanks.

Can this be used to run a Pool league?

Hi all

Just tried this lovely CMS, and I like what I see.

I was wondering whether it is possible to use this as an effective system to run a online website for a local pool league.

I've looked virtually everywhere but I havent managed to find anything else suitable yet - but this sort of comes close.

I did plan on a Joomla install with LeagueManager but unfortunately, thats geared up for football [soccer] and with our pool league, a win is the amount of frames won + 2 points, and a loss would be just the amount of frames won regarding the points - which anything geared up for soccer wont work as they expect fixed win / lose points.

New User - "Challenge" links don't seem to be active

Hi - Hoping someone might be able to help out. I just set up the squash ladder on the hosted server (http://squash-ladder.net/UCSF), and it looks great! Thanks so much for developing this!

One question, though - When I go to the "rankings" page, I see a list of registered members, but there is no way to click on their name to extend a challenge. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something a member has to configure in order to be "challenge-able?" I know this is really basic, and I apologize, but I really need to know how to do this, as people are beginning to sign up!

I can't login!

I try login in but it said that I didn't have the right e-mail or password!

I changed the password but it still doesn't want to work!
