No emails are sent or received

Hello everybody,

first of all I want to tip my hat for this great work. I am just about to set up a ladder for an MMORPG and I encountered a small problem.

Emails are neither going out nor in. If a new player is registering he will not receive an email. If somebody is contacting the ladder admin, the ladder admin wont reveive a mail.

I am using v0.8.3.89 alpha. I have occured some slight installation problems with creating the .htaccess.

Any clues how to solve it?

PS: I would like to set this ladder system straight up on v0.9 even in alpha. Would save me a lot of trouble upgrading it later on ;)
